Twice the Gift
Twice the Gift is a unique downtown Minneapolis shop that showcases the products and services provided by over 50 Twin Cities nonprofit organizations, including Pet Haven, this holiday season. At Twice the Gift, shoppers can select a meaningful gift for loved ones and/or business associates that will benefit others in the community. Pet Haven will sell greetings cards and pet fleece blankets. "Giftcards" will be available exclusively at Twice the Gift. A Giftcard honors the recipient by supporting specific services or items needed by Twin Cities nonprofits. Pet Haven giftcards in varying amounts will be available and will provide food, veterinary care, and spay/neuter services for homeless dogs and cats in our foster program.
Twice the Gift will be open Nov. 21, 2008 through December 31, 2008, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The store is located in Gaviidae II – 2nd floor/Skyway Level, 555 Nicollet Mall, Suite 295, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Twice the Gift is being underwritten for Twin Cities nonprofits by the Pohlad Family Foundation with 100% of the proceeds benefiting participating nonprofit organizations providing the gift or service . . . so put Twice the Gift at the top of your holiday shopping list this year and help make a difference in the lives of abandoned, abused and neglected dogs and cats!

Stray Dog Arts
Pet portraiture artist, Jessie Marianiello, of Stray Dog Arts will be donating 20% of all commissioned paintings and gift certificates to Pet Haven until December 31st, 2008. Her inspiration and partnership with Pet Haven began on July 21st, 2008 when she first heard of Ode (pronounced 'Oday' and means 'heart' in ojibway). Ode was a victim of horrific abuse and taken into Pet Haven's foster program. Ode is up for adoption now and her inspiring story can be read here. Jessie's upcoming exhibition, RESCUED, will include her latest series of portraits featuring the dogs of Pet Haven. For a $25 donation to Pet Haven, Sarah is offering a free mini pet session and one free 5X7 print. 20% of any additional prints ordered will be donated to Pet Haven. Sessions are being scheduled for November 22 between 1 and 5 PM and will be at the Northwind Loft Warehouse, 2400 N. 2nd Street, Minneapolis, MN.
