The Fast and the Furballs

Pet Haven will be participating in the Minneapolis 5K-9 Run on May 31st and we are forming a team - The Fast and the Furballs! Let's get fit, have fun, train with our furry friends and help raise awareness and donations for homeless dogs and cats! For more info visit the Furballs in Training blog

Join the team and get started:

Join Pet Haven's team "The Fast and The Furballs" and follow these 3 simple steps:

1) Register for the 5K-9 Run/Walk for May 31st (registration fee is $47 for one dog and $59 for two dogs). You can register online for the 5K-9 here. The 5K-9 run is a part of the Team Ortho Downtown Dash but you will running as part of Pet Haven's The Fast and the Furballs team. Please enter the referral code 'PetHaven.' If we are able to get 40 people to sign up for the team, then Team Ortho will send Pet Haven a check for 10%! Please also enter 'Pet Haven' where they ask "how did you hear about the event." If you have any questions or problems email Cheryl at furballs@pethavenmn.org.
2) Set up your Firstgiving fundraising page. Start fundraising for homeless dogs and cats!
3) Send an email to furballs@pethavenmn.org and let us know you have registered for the run AND you have set up your Firstgiving fundraising page. We will add you to our email list and keep you up-to-date on training runs which will begin in early April. Team t-shirts will be available on or before our first training run.

If you are unable to run/walk on May 31st, we still need your support:

- You can still fundraise for Pet Haven and set up a Firstgiving fundraising page. We have many foster dogs who will be running in the 5K and they would love it if you would be willing to sponsor them and help raise donations on their behalf. To learn more about our dogs, visit our dog blog.

- Make a donation and sponsor a member of The Fast and the Furballs team. Make a donation at our Firstgiving site

- Help spread the word! Download our flyer and post it around town and email it to everyone you know!
